Rainy day reading

I'd rather be out dogging this afternoon in my new French Maid outfit which arrived this morning in the post, but I'm stuck inside due to inclement weather.  So I had a rummage through the Library and came across this book.  What a delightful read, this classical handbook always gets my juices flowing....

Looks like someone else enjoyed this book:
I had to use a letter-opener as some of the pages were stuck together!

  1. Cash usually does it. I once visited a sauna in Torremolinos the place was heaving with young men, and every single one of them there shunned me! I know, it's hard to believe but it's true. The Spanish can be cliquey, but I just couldn't understand why those gorgeous young men preferred flirting with toothless old dross and going off into cubicles with them and not with me I later learnt from Carmen that they were all rent boys and they thought that I was the competition. I'd never felt so desirable and yet so cheap.

    1. That is a terrible incident, Mitzi and my heart is saddened to learn of it. It cannot be true, however, as the Spanish would surely go mad for your Northern beauty.

"Let them eat Paella" is what I would have shouted at the top of my voice around the sauna. As for Carmen, if the Spanish were flirting with toothless old dross over you, you should have sent her in. They, no doubt, would have been after her like a dog after a fox.

I do love saunas. There's this little place in New York, and it has a sling and cat o' nine tails and mirrors on the ceiling and..... oh dear, that's another story for another time.
